Pet Info
The following websites have been reviewed for quality and accuracy. As with any online resource, the content and quality of service is constantly changing. Please come to us with any questions that come up as you peruse these resources.
Pet Place is a collection of articles written by veterinarians for the pet-owning public. These are by far the best articles available on the web and easy to search. They have started asking you to complete a free registration. You can by-pass these requests in most instances and still get info you need.
Veterinary Partner
Veterinary partner is the public section of veterinary information network which is the online center of communication for the veterinary community. It is easy to search and fairly reliable, but the articles aren't quite as good as those on Pet Place.
AAHA
www.aahanet.org
Not a content-rich resource, but this is the organization that certifies and continually reviews member hospitals such as ours. Participation in the American Animal Hospital Associaton is voluntary and helps to ensure that the highest standards of care are offered to our clients and patients.
AVMA
The American Veterinary Medicine Association, member organization of the veterinary profession. A resource for those interested in entering or supporting the veterinary community.
Animal Poison Control
There are many poison control services for humans and a few for pets. This is by far the best. They charge a fee but it is worth every penny in a suspected poisoning. The fee charged is one time only and will allow you and us to access the best veterinary toxicology information available throughout a poisoning episode. At the time this link was entered they were offering a free pet safety packet including a refrigerator magnet. You can call them at (888) 426-4435.
